Your Horse’s Brain: A User’s Manual with Dr. Steve Peters, Mark Rashid and Jim Masterson
Dr. Steve Peters and Mark Rashid will explore the way horses learn from a physiological perspective. This unique clinic features the most current scientific research about equine brains, as well as live demos. The mornings are devoted to equine brain science, and the afternoons are for demonstrating those lessons in real time with horses, which includes Jim Masterson discussing movement and body tension/release of tension. You’ll see firsthand how a better understanding of the horse’s perception can be incredibly beneficial to building a stronger relationship.
This workshop is only offered once a year. Dr. Peters is a neuroscientist specializing in brain functioning. As a horse brain researcher, he has given numerous seminars on equine brain science throughout the U.S. and Canada. He is the co-author with Martin Black of the book Evidence-Based Horsemanship.
