Equine Neuroscience and the Art of Horsemanship with Dr. Steve Peters and Mark Rashid


Unlock the science of horsemanship with renowned equine neuroscientist Dr. Steve Peters and world-class horseman and author Mark Rashid.

Whether you're a seasoned rider or a passionate learner, this course will give you invaluable tools to build a deeper connection with your horse. Gain fresh insights into the horse's brain and leave with a new perspective that will transform your approach to horsemanship.

In-Depth Lectures: Dr. Peters will dive into the latest groundbreaking research on the equine brain, enhancing your understanding of how horses think, learn and behave.  

Hands-On Learning: In the afternoons, experience live demonstrations as riders work with their horses to better understand the "why" behind their horse’s actions, guided by Dr. Peters and Mark Rashid.

Schedule: 9 am - 12 pm lecture, 12 - 1 lunch included, 1 - 4 pm riding/groundwork sessions, with 3 riders each day. (Limit 6 riders in total, with 3 riding and 3 auditing each afternoon.)                           

Fee for riders: $775 for morning lectures and one riding afternoon session, one auditing session (includes stabling for your horse or working with a Happy Dog Ranch horse.)        

Fee for auditors: $450 for morning lectures / auditing of afternoon sessions

  • This course is designed for those who have completed "Your Horse's Brain: A User's Manual" – either by taking the intro course or viewing the DVD.
