Gretchen’s background in corporate communications includes working for Fortune 500 companies for many years before focusing on nonprofit organizations. At Happy Dog Ranch, Gretchen manages marketing, development, fundraising, content creation, community education and special events. Her work includes sharing the organization’s stories, successes and programs, and cultivating ways to serve new community groups. She also promotes the ranch’s growing collaboration with experts in mental health and wellness, horsemanship, equine care and other areas.

 As a dressage rider and former eventer, Gretchen continues to learn from entire HDR herd and the excellent instructors and practitioners who teach at the ranch. She’s grateful for the steady stream of new lessons that improve her horsemanship and her life.
